What we love: The versatility of this dress with its multiple variations.

Naïs was born from the meeting between two sewing enthusiasts, Emilie and Cécile. They exchanged a lot of virtual conversations before meeting and embarking on this joint project: imagining and designing a model that would then be patterned and finally sewn by all of you.

Long or short skirt, with or without peplum, long (puffy) or short (classic, tied or butterfly) sleeves, shirt collar, Victorian, pussy bow or without, fitted or wide, Naïs will charm you with the many combinations it offers. Naïs can be bohemian, casual or chic... It's up to you to find your style and personalize it!

We recommend our viscose crepes to sew this dress, which will match the buttons available in our haberdashery.

Fabric (meterage given for some variations of Nais):

  • Wide version / short skirt / short sleeves / shirt collar: 1.90 to 2m of fabric in 140cm width
  • Fitted version / long skirt / long sleeves / shirt collar: 2.60 to 3.15m of fabric in 140cm width
  • Fitted version / short circle skirt / long sleeves / shirt collar: 2.55 to 2.70m of fabric
  • Fitted version / long skirt with basque / long sleeves / shirt collar: 3.70 to 3.85m of fabric in 140cm width
  • Wide version / short skirt in two panels / long sleeves: 2.50 to 2.80 m of fabric in 140 cm width
  • Wide version / short skirt / long sleeves: 2.40 to 2.55 m of fabric in 140 cm width
  • If you want to make a belt, you will need to add 20 cm of fabric to a 140 cm width.
  • If you want to make the pussy bow collar, you will need to add 20 cm of fabric to a width of 140 cm.

Buttons: They should match your main fabric and be approximately 1 cm in diameter:

  • For the long fitted skirt version with sleeve cuff: 15 buttons
  • For the wide short skirt version with sleeve cuff: 13 buttons

Fluid viscose-type fabric (our viscose), very fluid cotton (our cottons), tencel, very light crepe, etc. If you use a transparent fabric (muslin, broderie anglaise, guipure, etc.), you will need to line your dress (bust + skirt) with, for example, a cotton veil or a viscose veil.
