Laminette, also called "lastin," is a transparent elastic ideal for sewing thin, delicate, and transparent fabrics.
It is useful for reinforcing seams in sensitive areas, such as shoulders or curved parts, to maintain their shape (like necklines).
It is also suitable for making washable diapers, swimsuits, lingerie, or for gathering clothes.
It gives elasticity to garments (especially knitted clothes), which allows
seams to return to their original shape.
Generally placed on the seam allowance, it is attached with an overlocker or with a zigzag stitch, or even a triple zigzag.
