PDF Pattern - Edith Skirt - Atelier Bernie
What we love: The perfect finishes thanks to the lining make it the ideal little wrap skirt.
The Edith skirt pays homage to "La Môme" who left her mark on the history of French song and who still moves us today. Edith Piaf grew up in poverty and lived her passion no matter what, to have no regrets and to see life in pink!
It is a simple or asymmetrical wrap skirt that crosses and closes on the left front with a tie or a button. The left panel attaches to the inside of the right front with a buttonhole. The Edith skirt has a simple waistband that accentuates the waist. It is designed with a lining. The patch pockets are optional and allow you to play with the asymmetry of the model if you choose to only include one.
It has two different front pieces that offer a multitude of possibilities:
- simple front for a classic wrap skirt
- asymmetrical right front that extends beyond the left front for the short version
- two asymmetrical fronts to reveal the legs on the long version
If you sew it in a fabric that has good body, you can have fun topstitching the seams to give it more character and a denim skirt look!
It is a skirt that will accompany you over time thanks to its modular closure system. It is entirely possible to move the outer and inner buttons over time and to tighten the outer tie more or less. You can even opt for two outer and inner buttons to change the ease of the skirt during the day.
You will not need a serger.
