It has already been 5 years that Atelier 27, our fabric brand, and Cha’ Coud, a sewing pattern designer, have been working together.
Five years of fabrics, patterns, and ideas tossed around, sometimes a bit randomly, which eventually turn into real projects. But also five years of learning to work as two and then as three, with our own personalities, our ways of doing things... and our little quirks.
Patterns, but above all, projects for three
Over the years, several patterns have been born from this collaboration: it all started with Isalys and the Mila cardigan in 2023, then the Maritza shirt and the Sasha t-shirt in 2024, followed by the Alessia blouse in 2025 and, most recently in 2026, the Roméo cardigan.
Each time, the principle remains the same: blending our worlds and our expertise, exchanging a lot, testing, adjusting, changing our minds, sometimes starting over... until we find the right balance.
Because a creative collaboration, in real life, is not always very linear. There are the good ideas, the "oh yes, we've got something here!", but also the deadlines, the unexpected hurdles, and the moments where you simply have to find a solution together.
Trade shows, cardboard boxes, and a few hours of sleep lost
Our collaboration has also been built far from our studios.
We have exhibited side by side at Knit Eat in Lyon, shared the Créations & Savoir-Faire in Paris and the Brussels Yarn Festival. And inevitably, trade shows create memories: the miles, the setups, the dismantling, meals eaten at all hours... and the boxes. Always the boxes^^, avoid blue boxes if you ask me ;-).
Sometimes you have to go to bed late—or early, depending on how you look at it. An organization not always compatible with Charlotte's sleep schedule!
But it is also in those moments that we measure what this collaboration has become: we know we can count on each other. To carry a box, cut some cuddly faux fur, find an idea, handle a mess, or simply support each other when fatigue sets in.
Three people, two brands, and five years of walking the path
Behind Atelier 27 and Cha’ Coud, there are primarily three people who have gotten to know each other through these projects.
We share ideas and expertise, of course, but also the doubts and realities of our lives as creators and entrepreneurs. We challenge each other, help each other, speak our minds, and, above all, continue to want to create together.

And finally, after five years, that is perhaps what we wanted to share: behind the patterns, the fabrics, and the pretty photos, there are above all meetings, a lot of work, a few good headaches, and three humans moving forward together.
