Collection: Sew a mask
For several months, many of us have been wondering about the real usefulness of fabric masks. It is clear that these masks are not medical devices but that the current shortage means that not everyone has one at home to protect themselves in the event of food / medical / or other travel. The sewing community quickly shared "good practices" because we can sew them.
Not being an expert, I found the articles from Atelier Scammit and Couture & Paillettes very complete, hence my sharing today. I invite you to read these 2 articles carefully before making anything.
To help you if necessary, we wanted to include in this "capsule" the fabrics most suitable for making masks, knowing, I repeat, that this is not a medical device.
Here you will find thick cotton (130G/m2) and thin laminate to sew your mask if necessary.
A pattern has been made available by Atelier Scammit here with a tutorial .
Beautiful sewing! The Atelier 27 team
