coudre être heureux couture

Why does sewing make you happy?

If you were missing a reason to start sewing, we have the best justification, sewing makes you happy! 😲

In fact, a study was conducted by sociologists for 14 years at Stanford, a panel of 10,000 women was observed, imagine that those who practiced sewing declared themselves 50% happier!

… No, we’re kidding 😅, but for us sewing brings us happiness! And here’s why:

✂️Because sewing is a manual and rewarding activity:

Indeed, in this world where we no longer know how to manage on our own, where as soon as we have a problem, our best friend is called Google, know-how is lost and it's a shame! So sewing is a bit of resistance, using your hands and tools to reclaim an art as old as the world (yes, yes, an art!)

It’s also rewarding, because you see the results of your work and your efforts, and that’s great!

📵Because sewing means making a cut:

With days at 100km/h, work, friends, children, family, keeping time to practice a hobby can seem complicated... But what a joy to be able to devote yourself to an activity for a given time, escape, concentrate, improve and take time for yourself and have fun! The best remedy!

👗Because you can create a unique wardrobe:

Attention, fashionista argument (So 2008 ...)! Have you ever met someone in the street with the same t-shirt as you? If so, you know that you don't want that to happen again! Sewing is choosing your materials, your colors, your patterns, in short your desires! In addition, in the long term, without taking out your calculator, you will save money ...

👋Because sewing is also about sharing and meeting great people:

Sewing means being part of the great sewing community, which is very much about sharing and goodwill between its followers and that is a real opportunity! So inevitably, along the way it leads to great encounters between professionals, amateurs, in short all enthusiasts!

🌍Because it is a responsible/useful activity:

Consuming responsibly is good, consuming less is better! Sewing allows you to reuse a garment and not throw it away just because it has a hole… #upcycling . And it works for you, for your spouse, your children, the family!

If you are still not convinced 🧐, there is only one solution left, try! Isn't trying to be happy a very noble cause? 🤗

And never forget: a happy fabric is a sewn fabric! #happyfabrics
